Derek Graham, a 35-year veteran of the commercial real estate industry, is the Founder, President, and Principal of Odyssey Properties Group, a private multifamily real estate investment firm committed to long-term upside.

His ethical, honest, and involved leadership sets the tone for the Odyssey team’s commitment to forming deep, trusted relationships with investors and nurturing those relationships through consistent, detailed, and transparent communication.

Prior to founding Odyssey, Derek was an Executive Managing Director at Studley, a national commercial real estate brokerage firm, where he led the national mid-market real estate investment brokerage effort. He also served as a Senior Vice President at CBRE and Insignia ESG.

Derek is a 1985 graduate of Princeton University.

Brian Dempsey’s roles at Odyssey Properties Group are twofold. He heads the acquisition of value-add multifamily properties in the Southeast for which he sources new acquisition opportunities, manages key broker relationships, provides underwriting and financial analysis, and assists with all transactional aspects of purchases including due diligence and financing. Additionally, Brian spearheads Odysseys L.A. office’s investor relations marketing initiatives.

Brian has been in the multifamily industry since 2014 with vast experience as a multifamily broker in the private client segment—specializing in assets from the $2M to $20M range. Throughout his career he has dedicated his expertise to representing clients in the acquisitions, sales, and 1031 exchanges of multifamily properties throughout Los Angeles County.

Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from University of Colorado, Leeds School of Business.

Karen S. Bayless is Vice President of Asset Management and Investor Relations for Odyssey Properties Group. With vast experience in administration and client services, she oversees all new acquisitions while maintaining the company’s existing portfolio.

Prior to joining Odyssey, Karen was a Client Services Specialist at Savills, Inc. for 17 years. She also worked for two sectors of the U.S. Federal Government – the Department of Commerce and the Department of Health and Human Services.

Karen received a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Business Administration from George Mason University.

Renee Luckhardt is responsible for the monthly asset management reporting process at Odyssey Properties Group.

With over 29 years of experience in the commercial real estate and residential property industry, her expertise includes financial analysis, budget and renovation tracking, and real estate due diligence reporting on all competitors and submarkets.

Prior to joining Odyssey, Renee served in accounting and asset management services for 10 years at a large privately held multi-family fund.

Renee holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Accounting Information Systems from Eastern Michigan University.
